Project Overview

As part of South East Water’s ongoing innovation in water quality monitoring, Egan Brothers Facility Specialists were engaged to support the trial and rollout of new water sampling taps. These custom-designed taps allow for safe and easy collection of water samples directly from drinking water mains, helping to monitor system performance and improve public health outcomes.

In addition to conducting field installations, Egan Brothers also took over the manufacturing of the sample tap bollards, providing South East Water with a significant cost-saving while ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality, purpose-built units.

The project is currently ongoing, with a number of sample taps already installed across the South East Water region as part of a targeted trial.

Scope Of Work

Site Attendance & Assessment
Attended nominated locations to assess suitability for sample tap installation in consultation with South East Water engineers.
Service Location
Identified and located all underground services to ensure safe excavation and installation practices.
Water Line Alterations
Modified existing water infrastructure as required to accommodate the new sample tap connection point.
Installation of Sampling Tap Bollard
Installed new tamper-proof sample tap units within custom bollards, designed to protect the tap and ensure safe, hygienic sampling.
